Hi friends and family! For those who don’t know me, I’m a freshman at Roanoke College, majoring in Biochemistry and hoping to pursue a career in medicine.

This upcoming spring semester, I have the amazing opportunity to study abroad in Heredia, Costa Rica for four months at the Universidad Nacional de Costa Rica!

While there, I’ll be learning about Costa Rica’s health care system and (hopefully!) shadowing medical students and doctors. It’s such an incredible chance to grow academically, culturally, and to gain experiences that will strengthen my future medical school applications.

I’m so thankful for this opportunity, but I can’t do it alone. My goal is to raise $4,000 before January to help cover travel, housing, passport, tuition for my classes, and program expenses not covered by my scholarship.

Thank you all so much for believing in me and supporting me through this new adventure!
