I started my cleaning business as a single mom of 2 because I couldn’t make ends meet at a 9-5 and cleaning has become my therapy for my mental health, and it became a way to help others who struggle with mental health. My motto is 'a clean space is a clear mind,' and for the past two years, I’ve offered free mental health cleanings to families in need. So far, I’ve completed 27 free cleanings, and the gratitude from moms and families has been overwhelming—tears, thank yous, shout-outs, and ongoing support from those who continue with discounted rates.
Offering these cleanings has taken a financial toll, but I’ll never let the families know that, nor will I stop doing them. I want to continue providing these cleanings monthly, but I fear I’ll have to scale back to every 3-6 months without some help. The requests keep coming, and I want to be there for as many families as possible.
The funds raised will go directly toward extra supplies, heavy-duty cleaners, rising gas prices, and possibly hiring another cleaner to help with the overflow of messages I receive. I won’t use any of the funds for personal gain—only to support the free cleanings and reach more families. Even small donations of $1 make a big difference: every bit helps provide products, cover travel costs, and offer personalized touches like cards, chocolates, or treats for pets. If you can’t donate, it’s completely understandable, but if you could please share, or spread the word, you’ll help me continue offering hope and support to families who need it most. Also if you have a nomination for someone for a mental health cleaning, feel free to reach out!
