Support Free Dental & Medical Care for Orlando's Underserved
Tax deductible
We are a group of pre-dental students from the University of Central Florida who volunteer at the American Muslim Social Services clinic. Over the last 9 months, we have witnessed an increase in our clinic's financial struggles. With the clinic being 100% free for our patients, we rely on our community's generosity to continue offering essential services.
With your support, we can help raise money for new dental instruments, materials, chairs, and other clinic costs which would aid in providing free dental and medical care to underserved Orlando communities.
Our dental clinic is of primary concern to us; with the rising costs of dental resources, it has been increasingly difficult to provide exceptional care for our patients. Dental materials alone cost us $1,000-2,000 a month. Many of our instruments- forceps, handpieces, and elevators are outdated, malfunctioning, or unusable. Additionally, one of our dental chairs has a broken operation light, we have a secondary chair to replace it, but the $1,500 cost to do so is hindering us.
Similarly, our mobile clinic, which offers services to the community, had engine issues costing the office $15,000 in repairs. Furthering the financial strain on the clinic.
Just last year, we were able to provide over 5,000 dental and medical visits to individuals and families at no cost to them. We hope to reach and help even more people with your support this year. Any contribution, big or small will help us continue our mission.
