Fred is a super sweet small boy that was rescued a couple of years ago with his two sisters. His sisters went on to find their forever home together and we kept Fred. The time since has been filled with love and care for such a wonderful dog.

Today Fred is in need of assistance again, this time community support to help pay for emergent surgery that thankfully saved his life. He unfortunately had an intestinal blockage and after several days of diagnostics and observation with a wonderful vet team, he was rushed into surgery yesterday morning.

We are happy to share that the surgery was successful and he is now on the mend. Unfortunately his medical expenses were nearly $3300.

Along with so many others, we have been personally hit by the current economy - Jason was recently laid off and my small business has experienced significant income reduction since last year. Despite this, we have still been doing and giving our all to help other animals in need, which stretches us even thinner.

If you are able to help us cover this unexpected and expensive surgery, we would be so appreciative.

Our hope is that if a lot of people can give a little, this burden can be alleviated. The reality is that we simply cannot do it on our own this time.
