Hello there!

I am attempting to raise money for purposes of managing post-relocation to the Eastern U.S., including related work/live space, toward further development of my online-based music education and performance home business. If you like to support artists and artistic causes, large and/or small, I beseech and would greatly appreciate your financial contribution – we (artists) need you, who care about what we do, and our abilities to continue doing so! Your contributions will help me facilitate:

• Necessary live/workspace preparation

• Studio management, including my piano, which needs routine but emergent and overdue servicing

• Assisting in the establishment of my gainful, professional life in my new, East coast environment, which requires time not encumbered by working jobs not related to my true, and trained, profession/vocation - no more moving refrigerators!

My career and pedigree as a music professional is enduring and decorated, in my former life based in Northern California (San Francisco Bay Area). As a new resident on the East coast, I am a “stranger in a strange land” – any artistic value that I may have to this community has yet to be discovered/exploited; this requires time of execution, now that I’m here [to do so]. Including the wish to prepare aspects of my home and my "back office" toward my desired application, as expressed, this new chapter of my life demands time (and non-disruption thereof, or as close to that as possible) for cultivation, precious and inseparable from true and serious artistic development at a professional level – development, worthy of a "wage" and then some, indeed!

My endeavor as a professional artist and teacher, truly, has been life-long and paramount in focus, and is worthy of generating income on its merits …as are same the efforts of so many other artists of the world. That we have art, of its numerous forms, and its artists and supporters thereof, reflect and present that global beauty multi-fold, makes for some of the real health, healing and zest of life and living; and, perhaps especially, at this time in which we live.

Hopefully, you will agree, as you watch my pure, raw and unprocessed/unsanitized performance video collage: No Autotune, Beat Detective, vocoders, Max Headroom-ed (AI-generated) presentation, sampling, nor spliced together edits passing as live-played, here! No on/off switches, brightly colored buttons, pyrotechnics, amps, fancy microphones or other electronics (except for the camera capturing me) ...not even a fancy Steinway present; just good ol' fashioned music making and communication, live: from a composer, through a pianist, into a piano, out to your ears (and eyes). Only you, a real piano, my hands, and the notes from a couple of the greatest of minds and spirits ever to imbue the Form, are required. Other than the transitions from one piece to the next - hence, collage - this video presentation is demonstrative of the tenets, talent, needs, and their maintaining and growth of which I speak, above.

I have started my YouTube channel, Blastin' Barriers™ Music Workshops. With your assistance, I wish to continue adding free education and performance content there, as well as starting a paid online live education and live performance website/portal in the future: offering live classes, one-on-one instruction and consultation, group instruction and coaching in music, for both players and the general public. As I am just getting started [here], I am very excited about cultivating this new chapter of my life, meeting new people ~maybe you, even~ and finding my tribe out here, in my new home, to add to my beloved tribe of musical family back home …I, partly, feel like a spectator myself, watching the proceedings as I plant my flag! I hope that you will find this venture appealing, and worth supporting, through this campaign.
