Support Freddy and Cameron Through This Tough Time

I am Jordan, Freddy's niece. On New Years Eve morning Freddy suffered a severe stroke to the left side of his brain. He was taken to North Memorial where they performed surgery to remove a clot in his brain. This was successful but he was then put on a ventilator because his breathing wasn't stable. He has been pretty sedated since but has been able to do simple commands (squeeze your hand, move his foot, open his eyes) but he has no function over the left side of his body. After the MRI, CT scan and multiple other tests, we have been informed that this stroke did more damage and he has no function at all of the entire left side of his body.

As many of you know, Cameron and Freddy live in Maple Grove together. Freddy has continued to work at his shoe shop, Fred's Shoe Repair, in Hopkins. Cameron will be taking a lot of time off work while things are talked about and figured out and Freddy obviously won't be working again. There are a lot of details that still have to be made, but we are taking things day by day.

I am setting this up to help Cameron with the financial burden of this unexpected medical situation. He will be missing lots of work, and trying to take care of Freddy. As of right now, they do not expect Freddy to ever be able to go home, he would have to be in a nursing home and may not be able to swallow or eat on his own again.

I ask that you please say prayers, share this, or donate if you are able to help Freddy and Cameron.
