Support Freddie's Journey to a Pain-Free Life

Hey there!

Let me introduce you to our foster pup, Freddie, aka, Bruno.

Freddie is a 1-1/2 to 2 year old Chihuahua Mix. Bruno is a happy-go-lucky guy. He enjoys every second of life, whether he is snuggling up to his foster sibling/cousins or going for a walk. He is such a smart doggo too, he knows several basic commands and has amazing recall! We continue to work on new things each day.

Sadly, we noticed that Bruno would randomly start limping. We brought him to the clinic and was discovered that he has bilateral luxating patellas, which, is a fancy word for dislocating knees.

After discussing Bruno's condition with a couple of vets in our area, their recommendation was surgery. Since he is so young this is the best option to give him a pain-free future. He will have to have surgery on both knees.

Recovery is normally 4-6 weeks per knee. During his rehabilitation he will not be available for adoption. As we want to be sure he is fully recovered before going to his forever home.

Knowing how amazing our community is, we are asking for donations to help cover the cost of his surgeries.
