Support Fred Goodrich's fight against Bone Marrow Cancer
Donation protected
Friends and family,
With a heavy heart, as some of you know and many do not, my Brother-in-law Fred Goodrich was diagnosed with multiple myeloma (bone marrow cancer) in August.
His treatment plan is daily doses of chemotherapy pills, steroids and weekly infusions of chemotherapy at Fox Chase in Philadelphia. Although, this is not a curable cancer we are hopeful that this will allow him to have the opportunity to get to the next step in treatment. The next step is in January, he will be hospitalized for approximately 3 weeks at Fox Chase for a stem cell transplant in hopes this will put him into remission. How long the remission will last no one knows, however we remain hopeful his course of treatment will provide the best outcome.
Fred is employed with RLE Enterprises, and is the sole provider for their family. He is trying to keep working until he undergoes the stem cell transplant in January. While RLE has been gracious and understanding in working around his sick days, days off for tests and treatments, it is also leaving a significant financial deficit for their family.
The financial increase they are incurring as the Medical bills (including copays, deductibles and chemotherapy prescriptions...ect.), (tolls, lodging and gas for traveling back and forth from Fox Chase) as well as the months of work Fred will miss during his recovery from his Stem Cell Transplant. I am asking if you are able to donate to help Fred and my sister Deb during this challenging time it would be greatly appreciated and would ease some of the financial stress that is taking a toll on their family.
Again, I would like to thank you, and any help would be appreciated.
Thank you,
Amy
