Hello!
I am named Franny by my human rescue.
With the help of an entire community I have been rescued from a month (or more) in the wilderness. I am very much a domesticated pup, it was frightening experience to say the least
Chased by coyotes, animal control and individuals- I evaded and survived.
Eventually I escaped the wooded areas, I sought to play with other dogs and find a home.
I approached other dogs and wagged my tail to play but their owners were skeptical because I was a stray.
I would follow everybody on their morning and evening walks just to have some company but nobody could get close enough to capture me for over a month.
I was likely dumped at a popular park in Arlington,TX where I sought my family but became skeptical of humans when my own never came back.
I'm approximately 35 pounds, I will not eat food or drink water, I have a fractured upper canine, fleas and no microchip to find my owner.
After finally being rescued I am staying in a crate in the garage of a gentleman who has a protective dog that does not get along with me.
I am doing well in my crate, I am potty trained and learning to trust again. My rescue human cannot keep me and his own dog.
He has bathed me, treated me for fleas, got an extra crate and food for me.
He is helping me to trust again, and I am quick to get there - but the other dog scares me a few times per day and getting anxious herself.
I'm kind of a big deal in the neighborhood. I've received a lot of love and prayers from an entire community.
I have a fractured canine and while my rescue human attempts to find a permanent home through the help of rescue groups I will need medical attention soon :
-Fractured canine tooth extraction
-vaccinations
-microchip
-antibiotics
I know you all have done so much for me already and my rescue human will do whatever is needed for me but any little bit helps!
Full of hope,
Franny
