Nothing about Franky‘s journey battling breast cancer has been ordinary or according to plan.

Most of us first learned about Franky and her story when she made a heartfelt post, encouraging women to be vigilant with breast examinations and to be aware of their own body changes.

We were introduced to “Gertrude and her little sister” and it’s safe to say- no one liked them! We hoped and prayed for their swift complete eviction…and it worked!

In the six months since that post, Franky has faced multiple setbacks and obstacles at every turn throughout her treatment.

We all have witnessed her courage, faith, determination, and resilience.

She is a fearless fighter, inspiring everyone around her.

But the fight takes its toll, not only physically and mentally, but also financially.

The harsh truth is that cancer does not care about the treatment plans she and her oncologist made, the schedule she hoped to keep, or the return-to-work date she counted on to keep her finances afloat.

Cancer certainly doesn’t care about financial situations like affording insurance premiums, deductibles, co-pays, prescriptions, and out-of-pocket expenses.

This is where we can come together to lend a helping hand to our dear friend Franky.

Franky is a firm believer in the power of prayer, angels, and the goodness of God. She trusts that miracles happen and that she will be seen through this-healed, healthy and happy.

I believe that too, and I know that God works through each and every one of us to see his plans through.
