Hello everyone! My name is Casey and today I am seeking a little bit of help. We are looking to raise money for my Dad, Frank DiRosa. Many of you know him and love him.
He has been battling stage 4 metastatic melanoma for a few years now. Like the true Marine he is, this devil dog has shown grit and determination to fight. At 81 years old, he is leaving doctors stumped. The cancer started in his eye and is extremely rare; it eventually spread to his liver and his lung. Treatment was hit and miss for a while, but just as we seemed to get the joyous news that his eye and lung were clear, the cancer spread to his bone. The tricky part about this cancer is there is no cure, only a tough, courageous, and never-ending battle. A battle he intends to keep fighting!
Radiation and chemo have been the plan, and in a few weeks, we will see what the new scans show. In the meantime, the chemo has been kicking his butt and has left him unsteady on his feet. It’s hard for such an active man to accept because up to a few weeks ago, he was still doing his woodworking projects.
Here is where we ask for help. Although Dad’s body is tired iron, his mind is still sharp as a tack. We are seeking to raise funds to help him get a mobility scooter to help navigate around his home and his frequent doctor/hospital visits.
He is a son of God, husband, father, grandfather, friend, a veteran of the United States Marines, and to many, he is the beloved “Mr. Frank.” He is too humble to ask for help from anyone, so I am reaching out on his behalf. Dad is a man who has helped many over the years and asked for nothing in return. Let’s help him get around and enjoy life again, to the best of his ability. Every dollar counts, and no donation is too small. You have no idea how grateful I am that you even read this story. If you can’t donate, please just share it.
Let’s help Mr. Frank!
From the bottom of my heart, thank you and God bless you all.
