Support Franklyn and family on his road to recovery

We would like to thank everyone for all the prayers and help that Franklyn is receiving during his road to recovery. It has been 1 month since the hemmoragic stroke and since Franklyn has been transferred out of ICU. He has had a tracheostomy and gastrostomy prior to leaving the Intensive Care Unit. Franklyn has regain consciousness and some movement (mostly on left). He is aware that he is surrounded by many friends and family that are rooting for his recovery. Jordana and kids whole heartedly want to thank everyone for the abundance of love and prayers they are receiving. We will continue to give updates as Franklyn's road to recovery has only just begun.

During the morning of Friday May 17, 2024. My brother -in-law, Franklyn Lopez, experienced a life-changing medical emergency. Franklyn suffered a severe hemorrhagic stroke and underwent urgent brain surgery to save his life.This procedure helped stabilize the bleeding, but Franklyn is in critical condition fighting a tremendous battle and has a long strenuous road ahead of him.

 We are grateful and thank everyone for the messages, love sent and all of the prayers he is receiving from his family, friends and community.

Franklyn is a loving husband, thoughtful son, charismatic brother, and very proud father of four. He is a pillar of our Long Beach community, a teaching assistant and camp counsellor. He has had a major impact on the children in our community.

We do not yet know what this will look like or how long it will take, and as Franklyn and family begin this journey, we want to eliminate any immediate financial stress, medical expenses and wage loss so they can exclusively concentrate on the road ahead.

No amount is too small, and every donation is deeply appreciated. Together, we can give Franklyn the best chance at a full recovery and show him the love and support he so richly deserves.

Durante la mañana del viernes 17 de mayo de 2024, mi cuñado, Franklyn López, sufrió un derrame cerebral que resultó en hemorragia (sangrado) del cerebro. Desafortunadamente, debido a la gravedad de la hemorragia, requirió una cirugía cerebral de emergencia inmediata. Este procedimiento ayudó a estabilizar la hemorragia, pero Franklyn se encuentra en estado crítico librando una batalla tremenda y tiene un camino largo y agotador por delante. Estamos agradecidos y agradecemos a todos por los mensajes, el amor enviado y todas las oraciones que está recibiendo de su familia, amigos y comunidad.

Franklyn es un esposo cariñoso, un hijo atento, un hermano carismático y un padre muy orgulloso de cuatro hijos. Es un pilar de nuestra comunidad de Long Beach, asistente de enseñanza y consejero de campamento. Ha tenido un gran impacto en los niños de nuestra comunidad.

Todavía no sabemos cómo será esto ni cuánto tiempo llevará, y mientras Franklyn y su familia comienzan este processo, queremos eliminar cualquier estrés financiero inmediato para que puedan concentrarse exclusivamente en el camino que les espera.
