*Update: 9/21/25

We want to thank everyone again for the incredible love, support, and generosity you’ve shown during this difficult time.

As many of you know, Franklin worked hard even through the last six years of his illness. He always did his best to provide for our family, and he trusted that his employer’s life insurance would help take care of us when the time came. Unfortunately, when he was unexpectedly laid off last year while already fighting a terminal illness, that safety net was lost.

Because of this, there are no life insurance benefits to cover funeral expenses or help my mom as she begins to navigate life without him. What is raised here will truly be all that we have to honor Franklin’s memory and support my mom in the weeks and months ahead.

We are deeply grateful for every donation, message, and prayer. Your kindness is helping us give Franklin the farewell he deserves and making sure my mom is not alone in this transition. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

*Update: 9/20/25

It is with heavy hearts that we share that our beloved father, Franklin King, passed away peacefully at home today, September 20, 2025, surrounded by family.

We are deeply grateful for the love, support, and generosity so many of you have shown during his illness. Your kindness helped us care for him with comfort and dignity in his final days.

As we move forward, our focus is on supporting our mom and honoring his memory. Any continued support, whether through donations, prayers, or words of comfort, means more than we can express.

Thank you for walking alongside us in this difficult time.

Supporting Franklin King’s Family in His Final Days

Our family is asking for help as we face one of life’s hardest moments.

Franklin King was once just a boy from Pocatello, Idaho. But, he became so much more.

His mother model and raised him with a deep Christian faith. He carried his strong faith with him throughout his life. That faith guided him to the University of Kansas, where he built lifelong friendships and met the love of his life, Sylwavion. It guided him through his days of college football and later in professional ball; through his career in medical sales; and most importantly, in his role as a husband, father, and grandfather. Franklin and his wife, Sylwavion, built a life together filled with love and faith, raising two daughters, Jennifer and Stephanie, welcoming son-in-law Kyle, and cherishing their three grandchildren, Austin, Aubrey, and Ashton.

For the past several years, Franklin has faced numerous health challenges. Over six years ago, he was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer. With courage and perseverance, he has fought every step of the way. Sadly, he is now in the final stage of his battle.

As our family prepares to say goodbye, we are asking for support to help ease the financial burden on Sylwavion. Funeral costs, medical bills, and end-of-life expenses are overwhelming, and any contribution — big or small — will make a meaningful difference.

Franklin has always been a man of strength, faith, and love. If you are able, please consider donating or sharing this fundraiser so that his family can focus on celebrating his life and legacy rather than worrying about the financial strain of this difficult time.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your kindness, your prayers, and your support.
