As many of you know, I gave birth to my daughter, Frankie, in January. I’ve had multiple complications postpartum that have kept me from returning to work. The worst being DeQuervain’s tenosynovitis. It causes severe pain in both wrists any time I try to do anything strenuous. After months of conservative treatment, I’m at the point where the only option left is surgery.
I’m currently uninsured and haven’t been working, and can’t work until this heals and is taken care of. You see the unfortunate snowball effect there. I have no money because I can’t work. And I can’t work because my hands are busted. I can’t fix my hands without money. Even the smallest motions like picking up the baby cause excruciating pain. There’s no way I could tolerate adjusting patients like this. So here we are.
The surgery is scheduled for June 20 and I’ll have to do rehab afterward. Normally this wouldn’t be as big of a burden, but I’ve already been unable to work for almost three months longer than originally planned and funds are running dry.
Any amount helps. The sooner I heal, the sooner I can get back to work!
Thank you all so much.
