FRANKIE NEEDS OUR HELP
Tag 24-375
Sometimes life takes heartbreaking turns — and Frankie’s story is one of them.
After sharing her photo among the other dogs, we were contacted by Frankie’s former owner, who had fallen on hard times and was devastated to learn that Frankie had ended up at the pound. Over a year ago, she had to make the difficult decision to rehome Frankie, believing she was going to a loving family. Sadly, it appears that whoever took her in dumped her on the streets of Waterbury.
According to her former owner, Frankie is an incredible dog — sweet, gentle, and full of love. She lived happily with other dogs (see video in comments) and adored her humans. Frankie is almost 3 years old (born February 2023) and has her whole life ahead of her.
Now, she’s frightened and confused in the shelter, wondering what happened to her warm home and soft bed, and what she did wrong to end up behind bars. This sweet girl did nothing to deserve this.
Dogs who once knew love often struggle the most in a shelter, and Frankie is no exception. She’s having a hard time adjusting and desperately misses the home comforts she once knew.
Frankie is here through no fault of her own — and she urgently needs to be pulled out of the Shelter by Thursday, November 6!
Sadly, no rescues have stepped up to pull Frankie. As you may know from previous posts, professional trainer, Todd Cote of Dog Speak, came out last week to evaluate some of the dogs, including Frankie. After meeting Frankie and spending quite a bit bit of time on the phone with Frankie‘s Former Owner, Todd has offered to help Frankie find a home on his own even without Rescue backing… That’s how much he believes in her!
‼️But Frankie needs our help‼️ Due to the fact that she is fearful, stressed, and has completely shut down in the shelter, she cannot be adopted out to a member of the public. Todd will take her under his wing if we can raise the funds for a 3 week board and train program! We need to raise $3000 by Thursday, November 6!! This will cover the 3-week board and train program, medical/vaccinations, spay, and boarding until she finds her forever home!
Please consider making a donation to help Frankie have the life she deserves!
