Exactly 4 years ago, we were in this position. To be back in this position again is tough. Frankie’s MDS has returned and so have the medical expenses and the daily financial struggles. I’m currently seeking help from nonprofit organizations to help with his prescription copayments. He’s currently on 6 medications for now. As most know, he is currently an outpatient receiving intravenous chemo infusions followed by 21 days of chemo pills, then on to another bone marrow biopsy to see where we go from there. I’m not one to ask for help, but this is not about me, but about us and not falling. We don’t know if he will need another transplant and pray to God for what’s to come next.
