Hi everyone - my name is Michelle Weiss. I’m starting this gofundme for my big brother, Frank Nitti, and his family. In 1998, when Frank was a teenager, he received a life saving kidney transplant, my dad as his donor. After 20+ years of incredible health, Frank was informed in April of 2024 that kidney had met its lifespan and the time had come for him to need a new kidney.

Unfortunately, after a bout of illness, Frank began hemodialysis 3 days a week, earlier than we hoped. Frank was eventually able to start PD dialysis daily at home overnight and will continue until a new transplant can be received.

Frank has been in and out of the hospital frequently, battling various illnesses and complications. As you can imagine, the ordeal has been extremely physically, emotionally and financially taxing on Frank and his family.

Frank is an extraordinary father to Emme (4), husband to Julia (his high school sweetheart), son, brother and friend. For me personally, and I know many others, he is a role model, shoulder to lean on, and powerful advocate. I’ve watched him and Julia do everything they can to continue some level of normalcy for Emme through it all. She's the sweetest and just wants to play doctor to her daddy, recently asking for a doctor kit for her 4th birthday.

After countless hospital visits, tests, trips to visit various transplant centers, and more, the financial burden is weighing heavily on Frank’s family. We are humbly asking you to give what you can to help them cover building medical costs. Any amount helps and is deeply appreciated.
