My name is Frank Mezick. I am 65 years old, and I was diagnosed with ALS in the summer of 2023 and have been fighting the battle every day since. According to the ALS Association, the out-of-pocket cost for families that ALS patients like myself have to pay yearly ranges from $85,000-$250,000 to cover at-home care, specialized equipment, and hospitalizations. These costs have put me and my family in a financial burden. I am hoping to alleviate some of that stress so that difficult decisions do not have to be made. My beautiful family consists of my wife, my 3 sons and their wives, and two adorable grandchildren.
