Dear Friends and Family,
I am writing to you today to share some difficult news.As many of you may know , Frank DeGennaro my companion of 33 years was recently diagnosed with breast Cancer that also involved his lymph node and a stage 4 growth on his sternum .since that diagnoses he developed a right groin hernia that will also need surgery. This unexpected diagnoses has turned our lives upside down.
Frank is a lifelong resident of West Haven, Ct. Some know him as Frank ,Frankie, and the one he loves the most Coach Deg. He was involved in all phases of football from Midget,High School and College including Southern Connecticut and The University of New Haven .
His love of family, friends and relationships developed through athletes have always been a source of pride and pleasure for him. However the cost treatments including ,daily chemo pills, daily hormonal pills, Lupron pellet injections in his belly every month along with bloodwork, and Xgeva shots once every 3 months. Also on going oncologist appointments, surgeon appointments, consultations, different scans etc out of pocket expenses not covered by insurance
This has been mentally, physically, and financially a stress and overwhelming experience for Frank and living on social security checks alone does not cover the expenses insurance doesn't cover, and every day needs and bills.
We are trying our best but are now in a situation where are charge cards are maxed out, we have made payment arrangements with Smilow Hospital, The smilow treatment Doctor's, co-pays and tests ,and will have to do so for his upcoming surgeries and continued treatments.
We are aiming to raise 8,000 to help cover hospital and continued treatments as well as out of pocket expenses and household needs.
We are humbly asking for your support, any donation large or small would make a tremendous difference in franks hopeful road to recovery, with less stress and anxiety and he can concentrate on battling
this dreaded disease.
Thank you in advance for any help,
