I wanted to let you know that my dad, who is only 58 years old, just underwent a quadruple bypass, main aortic valve replacement and mitral valve repair on Thursday, 10/05/2023. This journey began for my dad and our family three weeks ago when my dad showed signs of stress during an everyday task. He immediately scheduled an appointment with his cardiologist on 09/18/2023, did a nuclear stress test 10/19/2023 and a coronary angiogram on 10/22/2023. We were prepared for a possible stent with the angiogram but learned that he would need a quintuple (5) by pass & a main valve replacement. However, even the best laid plans don’t go according to plans. On Wednesday morning, 1:15 am, my mom had to call 911 and my dad was transported to Heart Hospital of Austin where he was admitted and remains. With the grace of God and the amazing hands of an incredible medical team, the surgery was a success and my dad is now beginning his healing journey. This journey will be paved with doctor visits, pain management, hospital bills and more
