Help Francisco & Brisa to recover and get back to their feet, after devastating fire
The Eaton Canyon tragedy has completely changed our lives and our lovely Altadena community. It's now a hole in the ground. While we were able to put our own fire out along with our neighbors, our home will be uninhabitable for who knows how long. We also have no idea if we will be able to keep or use any of our possessions due to the extreme level of toxicity and amount of debris that is covering whatever is left.
Francisco has been an active member of the animation industry for over 25 years. Recently, he's been working hard to get back to his gallery and fine art career. All his art pieces, archives and computer equipment have been heavily damaged.
Brisa has been a small business owner and has lost the majority of her equipment which will make it impossible for her to work anytime soon. And that was the only source of income that she had.
While we have counted on the support of amazing friends that have let us stay at their homes, we evacuated carrying only our cats, some clothes, and personal paperwork. It will take weeks before we can even go back to our block to get rid of all the waste, and it will take even more time and money to get our place ready to move back (if that is even an option).
Every donation counts! No matter how small the contribution is, it will significantly make a positive change towards our fast recovery as a family along with our sweet Sage and fur family. Every penny will be used to cover our most basic needs, semi-temporary housing and resources to make our place livable.
If you are unable to donate, we get it. So many of us are in a similar boat that it will be impossible to help everybody. But sharing this campaign will help us to spread the word of what we are going through.
Thanks in advance for your love and support.
