Support Francisco Alejos' Battle with Esophageal Cancer

In September 2024, our dad, Francisco Alejos was diagnosed with stage 4 esophageal cancer. This type of cancer is one of the most aggressive and fast-growing cancers, causing extreme weight loss and the inability to eat properly. Due to the critical and unexpected need to start with his treatments, our dad has had to stop working. Without work and being the head of his household, he’s now having to juggle between medical/treatment bills, personal bills, and other expenses. For those who know our dad, know that he finds it hard to just receive, whereas he’d rather put in the work to feel like he’s deserving of the help. After further thought and having our community reach out to us to help, we have decided to finally create a gofundme. Our dad provides for his wife (our mom) as she recently lost her job and is now taking on being our dad’s caregiver.

En Septiembre de 2024, a nuestro papá, Francisco Alejos, le diagnosticaron cáncer de esófago en etapa 4. Este tipo de cáncer es uno de los más agresivos y de rápido crecimiento, provocando una pérdida extrema de peso y la imposibilidad de comer adecuadamente. Debido a la crítica e inesperada necesidad de iniciar con sus tratamientos, nuestro papá ha tenido que dejar de trabajar. Sin trabajo y siendo cabeza de familia, ahora tiene que hacer malabarismos entre facturas médicas/de tratamiento, facturas personales y otros gastos. Aquellos que conocen a nuestro padre, sepan que a él le resulta difícil simplemente recibir, mientras que prefiere esforzarse para sentir que merece la ayuda. Después de pensarlo más y de que nuestra comunidad se acercara a nosotros para ayudar, finalmente decidimos crear un gofundme. Nuestro papá mantiene a su esposa (nuestra mamá), ya que ella recientemente perdió su trabajo y ahora asume ser la cuidadora de nuestro papá.
