Fran Cisco is the devoted parent of six adult children, four of whom were born with a genetic form of Muscular Dystrophy known as Duchenne or Limb-Girdle Disease. Over the years, Fran has dedicated her life to caring for her children, providing love and support through every challenge they faced. Two of Fran’s children, Carol Anne and Karen, passed away in 2010 and 2020, leaving a lasting impact on the family.
Tragically, in November 2025, Fran’s other two disabled children, whom she had cared for since birth, also passed away within just a few weeks of each other. The loss has been overwhelming, both emotionally and financially. The family’s only sources of income were disability benefits and Fran’s Social Security, and with the recent losses, Fran is now left with very limited resources.
Thanks to the gracious understanding of Schrivers Memorial in Aberdeen, Fran was able to arrange for the necessary services. However, the compounded expenses, lack of resources, and the rapid succession of these losses have been too much for Fran to withstand alone. Any support, no matter the amount, will help cover funeral costs and provide much-needed relief for Fran during this incredibly difficult time. The family is deeply grateful for your kindness and generosity.
