Support Sammy’s Broken Leg Surgery!

Hi everyone,
Meet Sammy, our loving foster puppy with Louie’s Legacy, a nonprofit no kill animal rescue. She is a bright and happy 6 month old mini Australian shepherd who loves to play and cuddle.
On Friday September 22nd, Sammy tried to jump on the kitchen counter and had a bad fall. She has a broken leg and is getting surgery today or tomorrow.
After X-rays and an orthopedic consult, she is diagnosed with a TTA (tibial tuberosity avulsion*), a fracture where the tibia (bone below the knee) is displaced and jutting forward. She unfortunately needs surgery to fix the displaced bone fragments and stabilize the growth plate.
The cost of her surgery is $6000 and she is under care at Garden State Veterinary Specialists in Tinton Falls, NJ. Louie’s Legacy is a 501c3 non profit rescue organization that has saved tens of thousands of animals while becoming one of the largest foster-based rescues in the country. They have an amazing foster program and would be so thankful for any contributions towards her surgery cost so they can keep saving animals in need.
Sammy has her whole life ahead of her where she can continue to learn, grow, and share all the wonderful moments life has to offer.
Please share and spread the word so we can help this girl live her best life!
Thank you,
Jasmine, Sammy, and the Louie’s Legacy Team
