On August 2, 2026, a devastating 6-alarm condo complex fire broke out at 815 Sea Spray Lane in Foster City. As firefighters continue battling the blaze, approximately 51 households have been displaced, leaving dozens of families suddenly without a place to call home. Thanks to the swift response of our first responders, all residents were safely evacuated. Several firefighters sustained non-life-threatening injuries while courageously protecting our community. For many residents, this tragedy extends beyond the loss of their homes. Because the building's parking was located beneath the apartments, many vehicles were also destroyed or damaged, leaving many families without reliable transportation in addition to losing their belongings.
I am organizing this emergency relief fund to provide direct assistance to the residents affected by this tragedy. As families begin navigating the days and weeks ahead, donations will help meet both immediate and ongoing needs, including temporary housing, clothing and shoes, food and groceries, medications and essential personal items, transportation needs, replacing critical household items, and other emergency expenses as families begin rebuilding their lives. 100% of every donation will go directly toward assisting the displaced residents and supporting their recovery.
Foster City has always been a community that comes together in times of need. Today, our neighbors need us. Whether you can give or share, every contribution will provide meaningful relief to families whose lives changed in an instant. Together, we can help these families take the first steps toward rebuilding.
My name is Crystal Tilton, and I am the President & CEO of the Foster City Chamber of Commerce. I organized this fundraiser on behalf of the residents displaced by the Sea Spray Lane fire. While I am not personally related to the affected families, I am coordinating this community relief effort to ensure donations reach those who need them most.
100% of every donation will go directly to supporting the displaced residents. Donations from this fundraiser will be transferred to the Foster City Chamber Foundation (EIN: 99-2624570), a registered 501(c)(3) charitable organization, which will work with the appropriate disaster relief organization or nonprofit partner to distribute the funds directly to the affected residents.
Thank you for your generosity, your trust, and for helping our Foster City neighbors during this incredibly difficult time.
