Help Forrest get his electric wheelchair
Donation protected
Hello my name is Forrest. I’m a paraplegic and am losing control of my arms and need to move from a manual wheelchair to an electric chair. I’ve had a pretty hectic year and a half. It started August 2023 with my legs giving out and with in a month I was completely paralyzed. With a lot of medicine and a lot of amazing doctors I now have feeling in the upper part of my body. I’ve spent more time hospitalized in the last year and a half than I have been home so I have a lot of time to make up for with my daughter. I’d like an electric chair so I can do more things with my daughter and have the ability to get around more independently. Thank you for any donation in advanced.
Hi everyone, hope you’re doing well. I’m reaching out to ask for support for this GoFundMe. This cause is important and whether you can donate or simply share the fundraiser, every little bit helps and is greatly appreciated. It all started with a viral infection, who would think that a virus would start an autoimmune response like Forrest has experienced. Forrest was diagnosed with Transverse Myelitis 28 days after being admitted to the hospital. For the past year and a half he has been in and out of hospitals and acute rehab centers showing little to no progress and even surviving multiple Pulmonary Embolisms. We have come close to losing him several times. In July 2024, the Drs realized there was something else going on and tested for something more rare than Transverse Myelitis. With only a 1% - 3% chance of having Sarcoidosis, Forrest was diagnosed with both Neuro and Pleural Sarcoidosis. All three of these are extremely rare diagnoses on their own. After Forrest was diagnosed with Sarcoidosis his Team of Drs realized he wasn't responding to treatment because the Sarcoidosis was preventing any improvement. Forrest is being treated for Sarcoidosis with very high doses of steroids and infusions and once that treatment is completed he will then start treatment for the Transverse Myelitis. He has a very long road to go, if you could at least like and share this post it would be greatly appreciated and we would be eternally grateful for any monetary help as well.
