My husband and I were both fired by DOGE and lost everything - our careers, our identities as public servants, and the vision we had for our family's future. We were federal workers carrying out work as American diplomats overseas for the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), an agency which has since been destroyed by this Administration. It is a job that we loved. We last served in an extreme hardship post where both critical and urgent humanitarian and development efforts are still gravely needed. USAID's work not only supported vulnerable communities overseas, but was also integral in protecting our country's national security. We were fired without any due process, diminishing our rights and dignity.

Now, we are navigating being unexpectedly unemployed and caring for two young children, while simultaneously trying to preserve our rights and fight against this injustice.

We are fighting our unlawful terminations through the legal system, which will take years and significant funds. We would greatly appreciate any donations towards this fight.
