Our family is heartbroken after the sudden loss of my nephew, Lorenzo—known to many as Zo. Just a few days after New Year’s, our world changed forever when we lost him unexpectedly. Zo had just turned 18 in August and was already a devoted father to his 4-month-old baby girl. He was a loving son, a caring brother to eight younger siblings, and a bright, funny, and intelligent young man who touched everyone he met. His parents, siblings, and all of us who loved him are struggling to come to terms with this tragedy and the difficult decisions that come with it.

We never imagined we would have to say goodbye to Zo so soon. The pain of losing him is overwhelming, and the financial burden of laying him to rest is something our family was not prepared for. We are reaching out to our community for help to cover his funeral expenses.
