Hi, Stephanie here (some of you know us and our story, some of you dont), and I’m the proud mom of my beautiful daughter Zoey. She is once again headed into her 3rd round of cancer. She was initially diagnosed in 2021 and then again with stage 3 ovarian cancer dysgerminoma in 2022, and then on Sept. 2nd, 2025, they found an 8cm tumor on the right side of her brain. On September 3rd, she went in for emergent surgery as it was hemorrhaging and sitting on the vascular part of her brain. They were able to get 80%; the other 20% is sitting on her mobility portion of her brain (the surgeon didn't want to limit any more of Zoey's mobility as she is already wheelchair-bound and total assist). We are working on getting her in for treatments at another hospital - too many issues with her current oncologist and Zoey needs the best possible treatment because once the cancer hits the central nervous system, prognosis drops - however, with the right treatments, we can prolong her life. I am currently trying to get her into The James, which is about 1.5 hours away. If they decide not to take her, then we are looking at other hospitals which are significantly further. I have taken a personal leave of absence from work so I can be by her side every step of the way. This means traveling back and forth from our home, staying near the hospital for weeks at a time, and still keeping up with bills and essentials at home. I’m setting up this fundraiser to help cover travel, lodging, food, and household needs so that my focus can stay where it belongs — on Zoey’s care and recovery.
