Support for Zoey, Colby, and Baby Montana

Hello and welcome to our GoFundMe page. Honestly I’m not sure where to start.. Many of you know us but for those who may not. My name is Zoey, my boyfriend Colby and we will be celebrating 3 years together in July.

We are expecting our first baby boy in August, Montana Shane, his daddy picked that name just for him.

On March 1 the day before we were suppose to have our gender reveal I had to be rushed to the ER for what is called a threatened miscarriage.

The ER sonogram technician let us know she saw fluid on our baby and to follow up with my Dr immediately. We were terrified and heartbroken and honestly hopeless.

That following Monday my amazing OB got me to the MFM specialist is our town squeezing us in last minute, by the grace of God. That day she let us know that our sweet boy has what is called CHOAS syndrome.

CHOAS Syndrome is a rare, potentially life-threatening condition where the fetal airway is completely or partially blocked, leading to fluid buildup in the lungs and other complications.

We were referred to Cooks in Fort Worth Tx that next week to get Echocardiograms and MRI to get better answers for Montana and if treatment was possible.

We unfortunately found out there is much more than just CHOAS effecting our sweet baby boy. We learned that not only does he have CHOAS but he also has no kidneys, a clubbed foot, and very very little amniotic fluid. Without Kidneys he is unable to make amniotic fluid, and that along with the CHOAS is fatal. Our outcome became our worst nightmare, our beautiful boy is not going to make it. We are grieving our sweet boy and planning a funeral rather than a baby shower. Nothing in the world could have prepared us for this and navigating feels impossible most days.

I’m making this GoFundMe to help with the medical bills we have gotten and will continue to get, and to help with a beautiful urn for our sweet boy.

Between the ER and Cooks Children and my amniocentesis we are already setting at $11,950. I have not worked majority of my pregnancy due to severe sickness that debilitated me most days than not. Colby has always been my Knight in armor and he took on working 7 days a week 12 hour days to support us. Nothing in the world is stronger than him and his love for me and our boy. We have applied to financial aid and have had zero success. Both TX Medicaid and the Medicaid through CooksChildrens denied any aid.

This is going to be a very long journey and forever grieving of our boy.
