Hi everyone,

I’m not usually one to ask for help, but the shock and heartbreak of all this has been overwhelming.

For those who know me, you’ll know my beautiful little dog, Ziggy. He recently lost his vision due to severe end-stage glaucoma, which caused secondary complications including dry eye and corneal ulcerations. Sadly, his blindness was irreversible. Despite ongoing treatment, medications, multiple vet consultations and visits to veterinary eye specialists, his condition continued to progress rapidly. The only way to relieve his pain and allow him to live comfortably was to undergo an emergency bilateral eye removal, this surgery involves the removal of both eyes.

As you can imagine, this has come as a complete shock and happened so suddenly. Aside from this, he has always been a healthy, happy boy, so coming to terms with everything has been a lot.

The costs involved are significant, and the funds raised will go directly towards: 

• The emergency surgery 
• Pain relief and medication
• Ongoing post-operative care, follow-up vet consultations, and specialist reviews

Ziggy is the sweetest, most unique little soul, and he truly touches the hearts of everyone who meets him. Seeing him lose his spark and retreat from the things he loves has been devastating, but this surgery gives him the chance to live free from pain and return to being his bright, happy self.

This has been an incredibly emotional and costly time for us, so if you’re able to donate or even share this, it would mean the world.
