The Mills family is going through an incredibly difficult time as their oldest son, Zayden, battles a rare genetic disease. Zayden has been diagnosed with Xq28 duplication syndrome, a condition that brings many challenges, including cerebral palsy, seizure disorder, hypotonia, abnormal involuntary movements, immune deficiency, and feeding intolerance. He is wheelchair dependent, gtube dependent, and just received a trach. The Mills family has three boys and one girl, and they are doing everything they can to support Zayden through this journey.

The family is making frequent trips to Dayton Children’s Hospital so Zayden can receive the specialized care he needs. These trips are taking a toll, both emotionally and financially. The costs of gas and food are adding up quickly, and the family is in urgent need of support to help cover these basic needs while they focus on Zayden’s recovery.
