My name is Mishawn, and I’m a mother fighting for my son, Zamari. Recently, our lives changed overnight. What started as an emergency room visit turned into something far more serious. Doctors discovered a tumor near Zamari’s brain, along with additional lesions on his spine and hip. Right now, we are still waiting for a full diagnosis, and every day feels like a mix of fear, uncertainty, and hope. Zamari is only 3 years old. He is strong, loving, and full of light—even in the middle of hospital visits, testing, and everything his little body is going through. As his mother, I’ve made it my mission to be his voice, his advocate, and his comfort through it all.

During this time, I’ve also been navigating a legal custody matter that has unfortunately impacted stability around insurance and resources. Despite that, I continue to do everything in my power to ensure Zamari receives the care, protection, and support he needs without interruption. We have been in and out of the hospital, coordinating with specialists, preparing for procedures, and doing everything possible to get answers and proper treatment. This journey has been emotionally and financially overwhelming, but I refuse to let it break me. My focus is—and will always be—my son.

I am asking for help so that I can continue to cover medical-related expenses and care needs, maintain stability for Zamari during ongoing treatment, handle travel, time off work, and essential living costs, and ensure he has access to the best care possible.
