My name is Zach. On February 29th, 2024 I sustained a traumatic brain injury while at work. A lot of people start getting better at around 6 weeks but unfortunately at two years I am still dealing with complications. I have been seeing a neurologist for these two years and we have been working on managing the migraines and other symptoms both physical and neurological(ie; memory issues, processing issues, nausea, fatigue, and many more). We were able to get me to a point where I felt like I could work again, but after Christmas of 2025 I have been having worse and worse migraines, nausea, vertigo, processing, and memory. I have been out of work since January 5th, 2026 and do not know when I will be returning to work. My neurologist has me out of work for another month at least to try and figure out what could be causing this. We are trying different medications and I am waiting to get an MRI to hopefully shed some light on the situation. I typically would not be asking for help but unfortunately with these symptoms I am unable to live a normal life. I wake up with a migraine which goes through the entire day, I am nauseous, my memory is awful to the point I will forget things almost instantly, I have almost no appetite, and sometimes I feel like I am out of body and my processing is slower than normal. I am unable to drive while I feel like this and typically am unable to get out of bed most days due to all these symptoms.
With me being out of work for so long I am struggling to keep up with my rent, bills, and basic necessities. The funds raised through this campaign will go directly toward covering my rent, paying essential bills, and making sure I have groceries while I heal. Your support will help me maintain stability and give me the breathing room I need to focus on my health and recovery. I am hopeful that, with a little help, I can get back on my feet and return to work as soon as possible.
I am deeply grateful for any support you can offer, whether it’s a donation or simply sharing my story. Thank you so much for taking the time to read about my situation and for considering a contribution. Your kindness and generosity mean the world to me during this difficult time.
