On August 15th Zachariah(20) and Kate(23) received the keys for their very first home. They were making plans for their future, picking out furniture, and talking about what color backsplash Kate wanted to add to the kitchen.

Nineteen days later, on September 3rd, Zach picked up the phone to hear the worst news one could receive. Kate was on her way home from her job as a correction officer, at around 6:30 am, she was struck by a truck and did not survive. To say this news is devastating is an understatement.

Zach should be celebrating this new chapter of his life. Instead, he is mourning the loss of his beloved Kate.
