Our beloved Yuvita passed away today (6/8/26). During this incredibly difficult time, I hope to continue supporting her family and helping with the many responsibilities that come with such a loss, so they can focus on grieving, honoring her memory, and being together.

There is no way to prepare for the moment when the roles reverse and you become the caretaker for the parents who spent their lives taking care of you. This is my partner and his mom, Yuvita, who was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer in the summer of 2024 which then spread to her brain. After a courageous fight, she is now reaching the end of her journey. Behind every cancer battle is a family carrying an unimaginable burden. My partner works long hours, attends school at night, and spends every free moment caring for his mom while his family puts their own lives on hold to be by her side. Life does not prepare you to hold the weak hands of the person who once held yours, fed you, comforted you, and loved you. It does not prepare you to say goodbye to your mother at just 25 years old or 19. Yuvita has lived a life filled with love and grace, raising her son to 25 and her daughter to 19. She has instilled in her family the true meaning of strength, resilience, and unconditional love. A love that transcends even life and death. As they cherish the time they have left together, we humbly ask for your prayers and support. Donations will help cover medical expenses, hospital bills, household costs, funeral arrangements, and the financial burdens this family now faces.
