Help Aarju fight Stage 4 Stomach Cancer

Dear Friends and Supporters,

I am reaching out to you today with a heavy heart on behalf of my cousin Aarju Tamang, a 23-year-old international student from Nepal. She is an undergraduate student majoring in Computer Science at UNT. She came to the US on f-1 visa in 2021 to fulfill her dreams of receiving higher education and making her family proud, leaving behind her parents and younger brother back home but now she has been faced with an unimaginable amount pain and uncertainty, having to fight for her life.

Our world came crashing down when Aarju was rushed to the ER due to severe stomach pain and vomiting. After undergoing several tests, she received devastating news—she has been diagnosed with Stage 4 Stomach Cancer. She has been admitted to Baylor Scott and White hospital from June 9, 2024 and we are preparing for an aggressive and grueling journey of 12 session chemotherapy treatment starting on June 25, 2024.

As you can imagine, this news has not only halted her academic pursuits but has also brought tremendous emotional, mental and financial strain on her and her family. The medical expenses associated with her treatment are overwhelming, and we are seeking your support during these challenging times.

Your generous donations will help cover the cost of her medical bills, ongoing treatments, and necessary living expenses while she battles this aggressive cancer. Every contribution, no matter how small, will make a significant difference in Aarju's journey towards recovery.

For those who know Aarju, we know her as a strong, resilient and kind hearted person. Aarju is incredibly brave and strong, but this journey is overwhelming, especially being so far from home. The loneliness and fear she feels are immense, yet she continues to face each day with courage and determination. Her smile, despite the pain, is a testament to her resilience.
