I am part of the local community supporting a young family who recently moved to the United States from Iraq. They live close by, and after visiting their home and seeing their situation firsthand, I felt compelled to help. The father, only 28 years old, is currently in the hospital battling advanced cancer that has spread throughout his body. Tragically, the cancer has reached his spinal cord, leaving him paralyzed and unable to move. Doctors have shared that he may only have 1-2 weeks left to live.

This family is facing unimaginable hardship. The father leaves behind a devoted wife, a 4-year-old daughter, and a baby boy just over a year old. With no extended family or support system here in the US, they are struggling to cover rent, bills, and basic living expenses. The community is doing what we can, but the need is urgent and overwhelming.
