My daughter is an extraordinary woman who has worked tirelessly through life’s toughest challenges. Just a few days ago, her one-year-old—my precious grandson—underwent surgery. Thankfully, he is recovering well.

Today, while her significant other was away at Army training, she faced one of the hardest days of her life. Caring for her post-op baby, she also had to rush their dog to the vet for an illness.

While at the vet, she received a devastating call from the local police. When she returned home, she learned that their apartment had been destroyed by a fire.

This young family—who had already been carrying so much—has now lost nearly everything. They are both hardworking parents who give their all to provide for their child. Now, they are faced with the unimaginable task of starting over while caring for a recovering baby and a sick pet.
