On New Year’s Day, we unexpectedly lost Lance Guelfo — a talented photographer, a trusted colleague, and a dear friend. Lance is survived by his wife, Yasuko “Yoshi” Guelfo, who is now navigating an incredibly difficult and overwhelming time. I’m creating this GoFundMe to help support Yoshi with general living expenses as she works through the financial and emotional challenges that come with such a sudden loss.

Lance was someone I could always count on, especially for photo assignments at Sonoma Raceway. His reliability, generosity, and presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Yoshi now faces not only the heartbreak of losing her partner, but also the uncertainty of managing daily expenses and bills on her own. Our hope is to ease some of that burden so she can focus on healing and remembering Lance.

I’m hoping our photography family — the community Lance was such a big part of — can come together to support Yoshi during this time. Any contribution, big or small, is deeply appreciated. Thank you in advance for your kindness, compassion, and heartfelt support.
