Goya is a loving mother to Yanet and her sister, and a proud grandmother to six grandchildren. She came to the United States from Mexico, determined to build a better life for her family. Her family is her world, and even now, in her weakest moments, Goya is thinking about how her loved ones will carry on after she is gone. Her greatest concern is that they are cared for and not burdened by her passing.
In October of 2025, everything changed when Goya was diagnosed with advanced pancreatic cancer. By the time it was discovered, the cancer had already spread to other organs. Chemotherapy was attempted in hopes of giving her more time with her family, or even a miracle, but sadly it did not help. Goya’s condition worsened, and she is now in hospice care, with only a couple of months left. She is heartbroken to leave her daughters, grandchildren, and husband behind, and worries deeply about the challenges her family will face, both emotionally and financially.
The funds raised will help ease the financial burden on her family during this difficult time.
Any support—whether it’s a donation or simply words of encouragement—would mean the world to Yanet and her family as they navigate this incredibly difficult time.
