We are reaching out as Yahmonnie Houston’s family, asking for your support during an unimaginable time. Yahmonnie was tragically taken from us at just 15 years old. She was in a vehicle with people she believed were her friends when the car was shot into by two young men from another car. Yahmonnie was struck twice in the arm and once in the back of the head. She was rushed to the hospital and fought bravely for her life for four days, but due to the severity of her injuries, she did not survive. Our family is devastated by this heartbreaking loss, and we never expected to face something so painful. Yahmonnie’s mother, a hardworking parent, is now left to navigate the grief of losing a child while caring for Yahmonnie’s three younger siblings and her older brother.
Yahmonnie was a bright light in our lives. She loved to dance and was a proud member of a majorette team. She also enjoyed making TikTok videos with her family and friends, always bringing joy and laughter to those around her. Yahmonnie had a heart of gold—she would give others the clothes off her back and was always there to help anyone in need. Her kindness and generosity touched everyone she met, and her love for her family was unwavering.
The family is seeking help with burial service expenses to honor Yahmonnie’s memory and provide her family with a chance to say goodbye. The funds raised will go directly to Yahmonnie’s mother to help with burial service expenses and ease some of the stress she is facing as she supports her children through this tragedy.
We are coming together as a family to ask for your help. Any contribution, no matter the size, will make a difference and is deeply appreciated. Thank you for your kindness and for helping us honor Yahmonnie’s life and support her mother and siblings during this difficult time.
