Xavier Miramontes is a dear friend and brother in the Knights of Columbus Council 12484 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Lancaster, TX. As a 4th degree Knight and Executive Chef, Xavier has always been the first to offer his time and talents, guiding us through countless events with warmth, humor, and unwavering generosity. He has selflessly worked at Knights and Altar Society gatherings and even gifted his culinary skills at my own wedding reception. His kindness and dedication have touched so many lives in our community.
Unfortunately, Xavier and his family have faced a series of heartbreaking setbacks. Over the years, he has endured numerous health challenges, including multiple stints and liver cancer. Most recently, Xavier was hospitalized for heart surgery, which resulted in pneumonia and a severe infection that has kept him in the ICU for about a month. His brother has struggled with major heart issues and a cancer scare, while his daughter has been bedridden since a car accident several years ago. Despite these hardships, Xavier remains hopeful and continues to inspire those around him with his resilience and spirit.
Now, as Xavier battles through this difficult time, we want to rally around him and his family. The funds raised will help cover mounting medical bills and provide Xavier the flexibility to address his family's needs as he sees fit. Please consider donating what you can to help lift the financial burden off Xavier's shoulders so he can focus on his recovery. Your compassion, empathy, and generosity will make a real difference for Xavier and his loved ones. 'Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way, you will fulfill the law of Christ.' (Galatians 6:2) Thank you, and God bless you all.
04/03/26 Update
Xavier has been transferred to the Mesquite Specialty Hospital (1024 N. Galloway Ave.), which is a critical care facility. He has not shown any significant improvement, but we are still hopeful and prayerful for his eventual recovery. Please keep Xavier and his family in your prayers as he continues his battle. Pray for strength, resilience, and the desire to come back to us.
