Dear Friends, Family, and The Cambridge Community, Our hearts are completely broken. On July 4th 2026, my brother Xavier Bautista was tragically and senselessly taken from us due to an act of gun violence.

To say we are devastated is an understatement. Xavier was only 32 years old, with so much more life ahead of them. Anyone who knew him remembers Xavi for his playfulness, his huge smile, & his unconditional love for his family & friends. You couldn’t be serious around Xavier. He brought so much joy into our lives, and the world is a dimmer place without him in it.

As our family navigates this unimaginable grief and shock, we are also focused on supporting the ones Xavier loved most. He leaves behind his girlfriend and their beautiful 5-year-old son, who now have to navigate the world without their protector and provider.

To honor Xavier, we want to surround his girlfriend and beautiful 5-year-old son with the love and dignity they deserve. Contributions to this campaign will go directly toward honoring Xavier with a proper burial. Once those burial costs are met, all remaining funds will be placed into a trust fund for his son to secure his future and remind him of his father's lasting legacy of love.
