Hi, my name is Heather and I am doing this fundraiser for my sister to help her with travel and lodging. My nephew Xander was in a serious car accident yesterday and was taken to Ruby Memorial Hospital where he is currently in ICU. He has a broken jaw and an orbital fracture on the left side of his face. He also had a small brain bleed. They are running tests today to check for swelling and pressure on his brain. He was squeezing the doctor's hand last night and showing signs of waking up, but for now, they have him sedated because of the amount of pain he is in. We will know more after 36 hours. We are in a waiting period as of now. I'm just trying to do what I can to help my sister and her family in this traumatic time. Xander is going to have a very long road ahead of him. My sister is taking time off work to be with her son. I want to try and help take some of the burden off of her, so she can be there for him.
