Support for Wrightwood Flood Recovery

Donation protected
On the morning of December 24, 2025, a severe flood hit Wrightwood, California, and my home was inundated with approximately four feet of mud and rock. The damage was sudden and extensive, rendering the interior of the home and many personal belongings unusable.

In the days that followed, friends, neighbors, and members of the Wrightwood community stepped in to help with cleanup efforts. Their generosity and support have meant a great deal. Unfortunately, the scope of the damage goes far beyond what volunteer cleanup alone can address.

I am a remote software engineer, and the flooding resulted in the loss of essential work equipment, as well as leaving me without stable housing while recovery and repairs are underway. These losses directly affect my ability to work and earn income.

The photos included here show just a portion of the equipment recovered after the flood, coated in mud and debris.

Major losses impacting my ability to work include:

  • Three laptops used for software development and audio production (two MacBooks and one Windows laptop)
  • Two external computer monitors
  • Professional audio speaker cabinets with upgraded drivers
  • Power amplifiers required to run the speaker systems
  • Core audio rack equipment, including equalizers and crossovers

Replacing only the essential equipment needed to resume work, along with securing temporary housing, represents a significant and unexpected financial burden.

This fundraiser is intended to help cover:

  • Temporary housing while the home remains uninhabitable
  • Replacement of critical work and income-generating equipment
  • Basic recovery expenses related to the flood damage

I never expected to be asking for help, but this was an extraordinary and unforeseen disaster. Any support—whether through a donation or by sharing this page—is deeply appreciated and will go directly toward rebuilding stability after this event.

Thank you for taking the time to read and for any support you’re able to offer
