BUT WITH GOD.
He was a lost sheep, and his shepard found him. His miraculous recovery is truly inspiring. From the clutches of death, he was saved. His story is a true testimony of the miracles God is still performing today, and of God's love for him.
He walked down the hallway only holding my hand yesterday. He is eating pureed foods. Isn't God GREAT?! He can't speak, but God isn't done with him yet. He still has some therapy to do, and a story to rejoice in and tell people about!! He's got the Good Lord on his side and a loving, supportive family cheering for him. Through faith, prayers and hard work, he's going to pull through. Thank you Jesus .
Please share his story. Share God's miracle even if you don't share his gofundme page.
On December 24th, 2025, suffering from severe depression and crippling back pain, my husband attempted to end his life, and shot himself not once, but twice in the head: (the 2nd shot was recoil). Despite the horrible outcome we were told to prepare for, we prayed - and God began working on a miracle from within my husband.
Two days ago made 5 weeks he has been in the hospital and he continues to improve everyday. Defying all odds, he continues to fight the awful mistake he made a little over a month ago. Once given a doomed prognosis, he can now stand & take steps (with assistance). He can throw and catch a ball, he can nod and shake his head, brush his teeth, give a thumbs up, and he recognizes us. His right side is still very weak but growing stronger each day. His speech still eludes him, but hopefully with time, and therapy, it will find its way back to him.
While his progress is awesome and inspiring, he still has physical therapy to do, and he will still be in Florida (2.07 hours from us). When he does get to return home he will have outpatient therapy in Georgia we will have to take him to. That is why I come to you now, and again -
If everyone who read this story shared it just once, think of ALL the people it could reach, and possibly the support we may be able to get. Gas money to Florida and back, (I go often so he's not alone and I can learn to help take care of him). Gas money will still be needed when he's home for outpatient visits. There are other day to day expenses that add up and will continue to add up; YOUR HELP IS NEEDED to make sure we can do everything for him that will be, and is needed to be done.
He's made it so far and he responds so well when we (his family), are by his side - I don't want to let him down. Put yourself in his shoes, or our shoes. Any amount is acceptable even just $5.00. It would be so appreciated and go for such a good cause. His story isn't over, it's just beginning!!!
So again: I am reaching out for help with travel expenses for the next few months, so our family can stay by his side and support him through every step of his recovery, inpatient and outpatient. Your prayers and any support you can offer mean the world to us, and we are deeply grateful for your kindness and generosity. He's a husband, he's a father of 4, and a paw-paw to 4 little ones, who all adore him.
Thank you for reading our story and for considering helping our family during this incredibly hard time. We believe that God is in control and working on Wesley, and with your support, we can continue to be there for him as he heals.
