My heart is heavy as I write this, but I’m reaching out for help for my brother, Wesley. He is currently undergoing chemotherapy for leukemia and fighting with everything he has. On top of the cancer, he lives with a serious heart condition and diabetes, which makes treatment even harder. He is on permanent disability (SSDI), so his income is fixed and very limited. The medical bills, daily expenses, and stress of providing for his family are becoming overwhelming.
Wesley and his family just welcomed a beautiful new baby into the world—a little ray of light during this incredibly difficult time. While he should be focused on healing and bonding with his newborn, he’s instead worrying about keeping the lights on, putting food on the table, gas in the car for appointments, and covering medications and basic care for his growing family.
Here’s what the funds will directly help with: utilities (electricity, water, heat) so they don’t fall behind; groceries and household essentials; gas for medical appointments and daily needs; medications and out-of-pocket medical costs not covered by insurance; and baby supplies, formula, diapers, and family care while he’s in treatment.
