Waylon is a bright, energetic 7-year-old boy who loves being outside and lives life with a big smile. On Tuesday, April 14th, Waylon was riding his bike when he lost control and went headfirst over the handlebars. This was his first major accident, and he has been incredibly brave throughout the ordeal. He suffered a major concussion, several lacerations, multiple facial bruises, and dental trauma. After the accident, Waylon was rushed to Parkview Noble, where he underwent multiple tests and x-rays and received seven stitches in his forehead. He was then transported to Parkview Regional, where he spent the night in the children's hospital for further evaluation.
Waylon is still struggling with basic motor skills, such as walking and feeding himself, and he now needs an MRI to assess the extent of his injuries. He is unable to attend school for the foreseeable future, which is especially hard for him because he loves school and his friends. His dad, Jeremiah, is the family's sole provider but has missed many days of work to be by Waylon's side. His stepmom, Momma Kay, is also unable to work due to her own medical issues. Despite everything, Waylon remains positive and continues to inspire everyone around him with his resilience and spirit.
Your support will help cover Waylon's mounting medical bills, the family's loss of income, and provide some relief as they navigate this challenging time. Any help you can give is deeply appreciated as they focus on Waylon's recovery and well-being.
