My friend, Michele Parpart has dedicated more than 20 years to serving the Waseca and surrounding community as a paramedic. She has always been there for others in their moments of crisis, offering care, compassion, and expertise to those in need. Now, she finds herself in a difficult situation after suffering a work-related injury that has kept her out of work for the past nine months. Just this past week, she underwent her first surgery, and while we hope for a smooth recovery, there is uncertainty about whether more surgeries or procedures will be necessary. The road ahead is filled with challenges, both physical and emotional, as she waits to be re-evaluated and continues to heal.
During the phase injury report, Michele had been receiving only a fraction of her normal pay, making it incredibly hard to keep up with everyday expenses. Just prior to her surgery, Worker’s Comp denied her claim, and she is no longer receiving any income or support. The funds raised through this campaign will go directly toward helping her cover living costs, support her children’s fees and extracurricular activities, and manage the daily expenses that have become overwhelming. Our community has always been strong and supportive, and now is the moment to show that strength once again.
For over two decades, she has given back to each and every one of us, responding to emergencies and caring for our loved ones. It’s time for us to pull together and support her and her family in their time of need. Your kindness and generosity will make a real difference, offering hope and relief as she faces the challenges ahead. Thank you for considering a donation and for standing with her during this difficult time.
